Indonesian Ministry of Transportation is the only institution in Indonesian ministries engaged in the transportation field. Means of transport and safety is a top priority of this ministry in order to create a safe and comfortable atmosphere in traveling or driving. Ministry of Transportation oversees four fields of transport in Indonesia namely sea, air, land and Operational Regional Railways which are all included in the Strategic Plan of the Ministry of once every five years.
Ministry of Transportation in carrying out its functions is also working with the Ministry of Public Works in order to repair and construction of transportation facilities and the construction of good roads for four-wheel and two wheels.
